Note that the Dura Glide blade surface shows absolutely no sign of wear. The Dura Glide blade edge is formed by chemically milling a unique alloy to create a precisely engineered edge. Addingtional polishing by electropolishing and nickel plating further refined the engineered edge design to precise tolerances and surface conditions. Finally, the entire blade is coated with Titanium Nitrade using a Low Temperature Arc Vapor Disposition Process (LTAVD). This this extremely hard coating prevents edge wear which preserves the engineered edge curvature throughout the life of the squeegee blade.

Note also that the other squeegee blade shows significant wear grooves on the blade edge.
